Thyroid gland problems,symptoms,causes and treatment

The Thyroid gland is an important butterfly-shaped endocrine gland, it sits low on the front of the neck. The Thyroid gland secreted two hormones into the blood, that are Triiodothyronine (T3) and Thyroxine (T4).

Both Triiodothyronine (T3) and Thyroxine (T4) hormones are more important for our proper metabolism, energy, growth and development of personality. Dysfunction of Thyroid gland may lead many mild to fatal complications.

The Pituitary Gland:

Pituitary gland is the master gland. It has great power to regulate the other body organs. The function of pituitary is very important for Overall well-being.The pituitary gland is divided into two parts, front (anterior) and back (posterior). The anterior part produces several types of important hormones like TSH (Thyroid-stimulating hormone) -

Thyroid-stimulating hormone or TSH - Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), well known as thyrotropic, thyrotropin, the TSH stimulates the thyroid gland to make thyroid hormones, thyroid is compulsory for metabolism, energy, growth and development of every tissue in the body.

Thyroid disorders:

Thyroid disorders can be harmless (like goiter called as enlarge gland), mild to life-threatening (like cancer). The most common thyroid problems are hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.

Too much production of thyroid hormone known as hyperthyroidism and the low production of thyroid hormone known as hypothyroidism.

Hyperthyroidism Symptoms:

The following are main symptoms of hyperthyroidism.

1- Weight loss

2- Feel abnormal heat sensitivity.

3- Increased palpitations or heart beat rate.

4- Muscle weakness.

5- Sleeping difficulties.

6- Excess sweating.

7- Anxiety and nervousness.

8- Changes in menstruation, disturb menstruation cycle.
