Exercise: Stand straight and easy on the asan,keep both foot near together,look infront,raise both hands straight over the head for a minute now slowly down the hand and bend down to earth. Try to touch the toes (right toe by right hand and left toe by left hand),remember,while touching the toes,the legs should not bend from knee also try to touch the knee with nose at the same time,try to keep this position for 8 to 12 seconds.
It is not easy to touch the toes and knee with nose,for beginners because due to non flexibility of spinal cord,do not worry regular practice can make the spinal cord flexible.
This great flexible asan is called Padangustasan (touch toes pose), in the beginning, practice this asana four times, later; it can be practiced six times a day.
Benefit : Padangustasan (touch toes pose) helps to improve flexibility of spine and maintain correct posture for energetic,charming young looks also reducing excess fat from all body organs.Padangustasan gives powerful, sufficient exercise to the knees,ankles,palms,shoulders, hips,knees,ankles,palms,fingers and total spinal cord and exercises all the joints of the body,makes the waist flexible,relieves the pain in the waist.
Padangustasan one of the best asan for relieving pain in sciatica (neuralgia of hip and leg) exercise form from one end to another end of spinal cord,activate medulla oblongata, enhance mental working power.
Due to flexibility of the spine and exercise of the muscles aspirant’s body becomes much charming, sure to appear pink shining on the face, not any other artificial ways to perform like this nice Padangustasan.
Caution: Do not perform Padangustasan (touch toes pose) without doctor’s advice if suffering from any major spinal disorder, disease or any surgery, in beginning you can try to touch only knee, after skilled in this asan you can touch the toes.
