Tarasan (Palm tree pose)



Exercise : Stand at the open,neat and clean place,straight and easy on the asan (a blanket or rug,is called as asan in yoga,asan must be made of pure,cotton or wool, because it is bad conductor to electricity),keep 1feet to 1.5feet,distance between both legs,up and stretch both arms horizontally,in the line with the shoulder,likes bird wings.

Now slowly raise both arms vertically, bring the arms over the head, at the same time, stand up on the toes, while ankle up, not touching the ground keep the eyes open and look forward.

Hold the position ½ to 1 minute,then bring down the arms,after resting ½ minute,again raise both arms upwards,just like before,henceforth repeat it six to eight times.This easy,nice,rejuvenating,famous asan is called TARASAN (palm tree pose), this looking, very simple asan immediate give us energy.

Benefit : Tarasan is very good for feet,neck,breast/chest,arms,waist and all body,it helps gently to open all the joints likes,ankle,knee, waist,elbow,shoulder,stay away all the rigidity energize the whole body.

Tarasan must reduced excess fat which has accumulated in the waist,thigh,neck,breast/chest and other parts of body,enhance the body's ability to metabolize foods,burn more energy and adjust as many calories to maintain the ideal weight and improve expectancy of life.

Tarasan is very much beneficial in the asthma because This asana strengthens the chest,lungs and it activates the respiratory system and gives good shape to the chest,due to fine exercise of spine in this asan,make the spine straight,quite elastic and strengthens the nervous system. Elasticity of spine keeps the yogabhayasi,young for a very long time,so regularly do this very useful Tarasan.
